The Timberdise Log Cabin Range

Log Cabins

The diagram above shows how the logs of the Timberdise cabins are constructed, using a from of tongue and groove which gives great stability and rigidity to the building as well as a creating a weatherproof seal so this building can be used all year round by your family. This is ethically sourced pine that has been FSC certified.

All log cabins come with our 10 year anti-rot guarantee, there has never been a better time to add these beautiful and practical buildings to your home garden.

Building Upgrades

Not only do we offer you an excellent range of quality buildings,  we also now offer you quality upgrades to go with them. Please read below as we explain what each additional upgrade is and how it can benefit your new garden building.

Superior Duty Felt

Upgrade to the Superior Duty Felt to prolong the life of your garden building. This is a heavy duty felt and is 50% thicker than standard felt, with a glass fibre and bitumen base. Ideal especially for buildings in an exposed area it provides a tough, durable waterproof membrane for your roof that is less likely to perish or tear over the seasons.

Available in Charcoal or Olive Green.

Shingles

Choose from a beautiful range of colours, shapes and give your garden building a new sophisticated look. This is a strong and hard wearing alternative to protect your building. You can choose to install these shingles yourself or let our professional installation teams take care of this for you by choosing the shingle installation option.

Georgian Window Pack

There is no better way to finish off the look of your brand new log cabin than to add a Georgian window pack to your order. Available on all Log Cabins, they’re extremely easy to fit and look great once installed. So why not go all out and make your cabin stand out from the rest.

Ground Base Info

Here at Timberdise Garden Buildings not only do we specialise in the construction of your new wooden garden building but we also offer very important extras should you need them such as a base for your new building to stand on.

The first thing is not to get confused between the base and the floor. All of the buildings supplied by Timberdise Garden Buildings come with floors regardless of whether you buy a base from us or not. The base is what your new wooden garden building will need if you do not have a suitable surface for it to go on.

Timberdise Garden Buildings will ask you to sign a disclaimer against premature rotting and cracking if we feel you do not have a suitable base and opt not to take out a base with ourselves when we arrive to complete your installation.

What is an unsuitable base?

  • Uneven ground
  • Soft Ground (such as a mud or grass area)

To explain further, if you have a patio area and the patio area is uneven we would deem that unfit to place one of our wooden garden buildings on. Another example would be if you wanted to install the new building on a grassy area or on muddy ground this would also be unfit for one of our wooden garden buildings.

So what does a Timberdise Base do?

  • Timberdise Garden Buildings construct the base out of wooden timbers, typically 4×2 inch pressure treated timbers. We then attach legs to these timbers which are typically 3×3 inch pressure treated timbers which lift the base off the ground and allow us to adjust to make the base level (if you buy one of our self construct bases these legs are replaced with spikes which you stick into the ground).
  • If the above is constructed onto hard ground such as concrete or patio area then the legs will stand on top of that ground. If it is to be constructed over soft ground such as mud or grass then we will dig slightly down into the ground. This is normally no further than 12 inch and then we compact gravel into this hole for the legs to stand on. The reason we use gravel is that once it is compacted it is extremely solid and also also for a more natural water run off which is important to prolong the life of the wood, as the water does not pool at the bottom of the wooden leg and therefor does not cause premature rotting.
  • The base makes the building level and also lifts the building above the 2 inch recommended distance from ground level to bottom of your new wooden building. Again this is to prevent premature rotting and give you the longest life possible.

If you have any questions about this please feel free to contact us for more information.

Anti-Rot Guarantee

All of the wooden garden buildings at Timberdise come with an anti-rot guarantee for peace of mind that your new garden building will be around long after we have supplied it. All buildings come with a 10 year anti-rot guarantee apart from the pressure treated range as these come with a 15 year anti-rot guarantee.

Most of the wooden garden buildings we supply come with a pre-coat of treatment that we like to call transportation protection. This protects the buildings from the elements as we deliver them to you and also gives you a small period of time from installation to actually getting the building treated yourself so that the building is not exposed during this crucial stage of its life (this does not include log cabins and garden rooms). Log cabins and garden rooms come without any treatment so make sure you treat these buildings within the first week of them being installed.

We at Timberdise will always advise you to treat your new wooden garden building as soon as you possibly can and ask that you continue to treat the building at least every 12 months there after. This is to ensure you get the maximum life span out of the building and prevent any premature rotting. We also advise you that to keep your guarantee valid you do have to treat both inside and outside of the buildings as most buildings don’t come with any damp protection.

Please have a look at the aftercare details we have available on this site by clicking here Aftercare for Sheds, Summerhouses & Playhouses and Aftercare for Log Cabins for further information.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Returns

At Timberdise we offer a 14 day money back guarantee on all of our items. The guarantee commences from the date which you receive your item and we even offer a free collection service as part of this agreement.

The building must be returned in its original, untreated, resalable condition. Until the item is collected by our courier, it’s the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the building remains in this condition.

We will not however dismantle on your behalf and we cannot be held liable for any third party costs. Once the building has been received by our factory and checked, a full refund will be issued within 7 working days providing all of the above conditions are met.
