A neat and simple yet attractive design, it is sure to look great in your garden as well as providing you with just the room you may have been looking for to turn into a stylish getaway in which to pursue your hobbies.

Ways to Make the Most of your Garden Studio

There are few better ways to get the best out of your garden than by purchasing a summerhouse. With the Garden Studio, you have the perfect way to add extra useable room to your home to pursue all those leisure time activities that you can’t find space for in your house, all set against the beautiful and calming backdrop of your garden. Plus, with its two opening windows as well as the wide opening double doors, you can make the most of your summerhouse in any weather. Throwing open the windows on a hot day, or the windows and double doors on those extra sunny days, will give you a cool, breezy spot to spend your time. Alternatively, having the windows and doors shut should see you nicely sealed from the elements when inside and give you a pleasant place to spend your time in all but the coldest of weather. Whether you see yourself turning it into a great place to practice a musical instrument or into your very own art studio to paint in the inspiring surroundings of your garden, the Garden Studio could give you just the space you need. However you decide to use your new summerhouse, and with larger sizes available if you think you need more space, we are certain you will love making the most of your Garden Studio.

Why Others Tell us they Love the Garden Studio

Lovers of simple but stylish design are immediately drawn to the Garden Studio. Plus, the Studio’s design maximises the available floor space inside, giving you loads of interior room for whatever use you have in mind. It also features a generous roof height which makes the interior feel spacious. This, combined with the plentiful natural light which floods in through the two opening windows and double doors, gives you an interior that feels bright and airy in which spending your time is a real pleasure. The overlap timber walls give an attractive finish to the exterior and its reverse apex roof provides a distinctive touch that is always popular among customers. As you can see from our images of the Garden Studio, you can make your new summerhouse look fantastic by personalising it with a splash of colour. Shire, the manufacturer, recommends Protek Paint, available to purchase from us in a variety of different colours. Whether you prefer an understated, natural finish or bold, bright colours, Protek have a wood finish to suit any taste.

Features

The Garden Studio has a number of fantastic features that make it a summerhouse of real quality. The walls are constructed from 20mm thick rebated bevel cladding to help keep the interior nicely sealed from the elements. This is a wall thickness you would not normally find on a summerhouse and is a real sign of the extra quality of the Garden Studio. The building gets its strength from a robust 44x70mm framework which ensures it is both durable and stable. This framework supports a high quality, 12mm tongue and groove roof that gives great protection from the weather, rot and damp. This protection is enhanced by the heavy duty green mineral roofing felt that is also included as standard. The Garden Studio boasts an impressive load capacity due to its 16mm tongue and groove floor, meaning you can adorn your summerhouse with heavier furnishings without worrying whether your floor will be up to the task. The two opening windows and double doors feature tough double glazing as standard. This is an excellent feature that few other summerhouses can match and ensures you will be snug when inside. The double doors are supplied with a mortise lock and key, giving you extra peace of mind when leaving valuables inside your summerhouse. Alongside all these excellent features, the Garden Studio is protected by a 10 year anti-rot guarantee, meaning you can be confident that you will be purchasing a summerhouse that will be a key feature of your garden for years to come. We’re pleased to offer the option of booking our dedicated professionals who will assemble your log cabin quickly and correctly. However, you can choose to use the comprehensive instructions included with the log cabin and construct it yourself.

About the Timber

You will be impressed by Shire’s use of natural products and their environmental credentials. A high quality timber product starts with high quality timber, so it is important to know exactly what timber is being used for your summerhouse. The most commonly used timber for garden buildings is pine (pinus) as this is widely available for a very cheap price, however all of Shire’s garden buildings are constructed using high quality spruce (picea) and is sourced from Siberia and Scandinavia under strict FSC guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine and provides a higher quality finish. This timber is slow grown unlike fast grown British and Eastern Europe’s timber, being slow grown timber means a tighter grain, less sap and with far fewer knots. The timber used on Shire’s range is therefore a more durable timber that will last much longer than other timbers. Spruce is therefore the timber of choice for companies such as Shire who always look to produce the best garden building.

Anti-Rot Guarantee

All of the wooden garden buildings at Timberdise come with an anti-rot guarantee for peace of mind that your new garden building will be around long after we have supplied it. All buildings come with a 10 year anti-rot guarantee apart from the pressure treated range as these come with a 15 year anti-rot guarantee.

Most of the wooden garden buildings we supply come with a pre-coat of treatment that we like to call transportation protection. This protects the buildings from the elements as we deliver them to you and also gives you a small period of time from installation to actually getting the building treated yourself so that the building is not exposed during this crucial stage of its life (this does not include log cabins and garden rooms). Log cabins and garden rooms come without any treatment so make sure you treat these buildings within the first week of them being installed.

We at Timberdise will always advise you to treat your new wooden garden building as soon as you possibly can and ask that you continue to treat the building at least every 12 months there after. This is to ensure you get the maximum life span out of the building and prevent any premature rotting. We also advise you that to keep your guarantee valid you do have to treat both inside and outside of the buildings as most buildings don’t come with any damp protection.

Please have a look at the aftercare details we have available on this site by clicking here Aftercare for Sheds, Summerhouses & Playhouses and Aftercare for Log Cabins for further information.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
