The Shire Mammoth Professional Shed is ideal for all manner of working equipment or just for people who like (or need) lots of space to work in. The large fully opening window(s) make the Mammoth shed a perfect working environment, while the double doors allow easy access. If you are looking for a shed that is super strong, multi-functional and will stand the test of time the Shire Mammoth is the shed for you. The Mammoth shed has interchangeable door and window panels which means the panels of the Mammoth Shed can be placed either side or each gable end to suit any individual requirement.

If you are looking for a shed that is super strong, has many security features, is multi-functional, is easy to assemble and will stand the test of time the Shire Professional is the shed for you.

Full assembly instructions are provided with this Apex Shed and with all the fittings in the box as standard you will be amazed at how simple this professional shed is to install. Assembly instructions are available upon request. You can of course choose the option to have your shed installed for you.

Timber – You will be impressed by the use of natural products and the environmental credentials used on this Professional shed. A high quality timber garden building starts with high quality timber, so it is important to know exactly what timber is being used for your garden shed. The most commonly used timber for garden buildings is pine as this is widely available for a very cheap price, however all our professional garden buildings are constructed using high quality spruce and is sourced from Siberia and Scandinavia under strict FSC guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine and provides a higher quality finish. The timber is slow grown unlike fast grown British timber, being slow grown timber means a tighter grain, less sap and with far less knots and warping occurring. The timber used on the Professional garden buildings is therefore a more durable timber that will last much longer than other timbers used on garden sheds. Spruce is therefore the timber of choice for companies who always look to produce the best garden sheds.

Walls – Specially designed spruce shiplap tongue and groove cladding of 12mm x 120mm or choose the 19mm loplap product producing a shed that is not just durable but also looks great in your garden. Also our planed tongue and groove shiplap cladding design closes the pores and together with its curved profile promotes the run-off of water making the shed more water resistant.

Frame – A robust planed 70mm x 44mm (3″ x 2″) framework (walls and floor) it the framework of a garden shed that gives the building its strength.

Please Note: There is also the option to have a Tongue and Groove Pine Log Pattern 19mm x 114mm wall finish

Floor – The floor is manufactured from high quality 16mm x 120mm planed pine tongue and groove matching pattern boarding on 70mm x 44mm (3″ x 2″) joists.

Roof – The roof is manufactured from high quality 12mm x 120mm planed pine tongue and groove matching pattern boarding. Tongue and Groove roof provides better insulation and gives a smarter finish. Roofing felt is supplied as standard.

Windows – The opening shed windows are glazed with 3mm Horticultural Glass. The glass is retained by profiled beading which is pre-mitred (no awkward corners to be cut). All windows use one of the strongest joints in woodwork, they are properly morticed and tenoned profiled and weather resistant. The windows have a unique profiled ‘lip’ which covers the aperture of the opening in the panel making it weather resistant. Casement stays have two levels of opening and are supplied fitted. Being a modular build the window panels are interchangeable and can be fitted on either the front width or the gable end (length). These large windows allow plenty of light to flood into the shed. The windows are supplied with factory fitted window frame(s) for quick and easy assembly when delivered. (Refer to the specification for total number of windows per size).

Joinery Doors – The extra high doors are fully ledged, braced and framed for extra strength and security. With a joinery door all joints are mortice and tenon, the timber is pressed together in a pneumatic press and then pinned together to give them extra strength, unlike other sheds where the doors are screwed together. The doors have a lip all the way round therefore leaving no gaps thus helps to prevent against certain weather conditions. As a security measure the doors are fitted with stormproof hinges which are strong and with the added benefit of not being visible from the outside provides extra security for the shed and offers a better looking shed. The storm hinges also give a smoother operation as they are less likely to get wet. The doors are pre-hung at the factory for quick and easy assembly when delivered.

Treatment – The Shire Professional Garden Sheds are supplied pre-treated with a base coat to both sides in a golden brown water based industrial product (colour can vary from the picture shown). The manufacturer recommends that you apply a top coat of your choice. This will protect the timber from weathering on your shed making it last longer and will need to be repeated accordingly in relation to the manufacturer’s instructions.

If you cancel your order at any time after production has commenced you will be liable for the cost of work in progress to date of cancellation. Anti-Rot Guarantee

All of the wooden garden buildings at Timberdise come with an anti-rot guarantee for peace of mind that your new garden building will be around long after we have supplied it. All buildings come with a 10 year anti-rot guarantee apart from the pressure treated range as these come with a 15 year anti-rot guarantee.

Most of the wooden garden buildings we supply come with a pre-coat of treatment that we like to call transportation protection. This protects the buildings from the elements as we deliver them to you and also gives you a small period of time from installation to actually getting the building treated yourself so that the building is not exposed during this crucial stage of its life (this does not include log cabins and garden rooms). Log cabins and garden rooms come without any treatment so make sure you treat these buildings within the first week of them being installed.

We at Timberdise will always advise you to treat your new wooden garden building as soon as you possibly can and ask that you continue to treat the building at least every 12 months there after. This is to ensure you get the maximum life span out of the building and prevent any premature rotting. We also advise you that to keep your guarantee valid you do have to treat both inside and outside of the buildings as most buildings don’t come with any damp protection.

Please have a look at the aftercare details we have available on this site by clicking here Aftercare for Sheds, Summerhouses & Playhouses and Aftercare for Log Cabins for further information.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
