Timberdise Ground Bases are industry leading pressure treated wooden bases. Constructed using 4×2 timbers that slightly lift your building away from the ground to allow for great ventilation and prevent premature rotting as it prevents the building being sat on cold, wet and damp ground.

These bases can only be purchased with installation as we cut and construct these bases on site.

Felt Roof Tiles

Add a touch more luxury to your log cabin with coloured felt roof tiles. The felt roof tiles also provide you with extra insulation. You can add as an optional extra felt roof tiles in either black, green or red.

Glazing Upgrades

The standard glazing to the windows is 3mm horticultural glass to keep it economically warm in the winter and pleasantly cool in the summer. You can choose to change the glazing to 4mm Toughened Glass. This is a safer glazing option for younger children and give you even more sound proofing and insulation qualities to your log cabin. Or go for the ultimate double glazing upgrade.

Payl8r

Timberdise Garden Buildings is proud to be able to offer monthly payments through our chosen finance provider which is Payl8r.

It could not be simpler to apply for your easy monthly payments and we will explain a little bit how this works. Firstly let me just make you aware that in most cases when you apply for monthly payments you will be given an instant decision upon submitting the application through our built-in link in the checkout stage. So let me just explain how this works below:

  1. Firstly, choose the building that you want and then add any extra’s you require such as installation, ground base etc. You will see on the monthly payment calculator further down the page that it will automatically change the price and the monthly payments.
  2. If you are happy with the monthly instalments – add the building to your basket and go to checkout.
  3. Once in checkout you will be asked to complete all your personal details, then scroll down the page and you will be given three payment options. There is Worldpay, PayPal and the Payl8r. Choose the Payl8r option, tick that you have read terms & conditions and continue.
  4. Now you will be taken to the Payl8r application screen. Here you will find four further screens that you will need to complete.  Firstly you will choose your deposit amount, followed by more personal information. Then we will require for your bank details  to set up future direct debits and card details to make your deposit payment. If you are accepted the only payment that will be taken immediately will be your agreed deposit amount that you chose in the earlier screens.
  5. Submit your application, in most cases you will be given an instant decision. However, on rare occasions the decision will be referred for manual underwriting decision.
  6. If the application is successful the deposit payment will be taken and then Timberdise will be informed immediately and we will contact you to arrange delivery of your new building as soon as possible.
  7. Payl8r will also contact you to confirm your application and confirm a Direct Debit date.

It really is that simple. If you need any further information regarding Payl8r, click this link https://www.timberdisegardenbuildings.co.uk/finance-calculator/ or contact a member of our team on 01302 811838.

With its stunning appearance and considerable size, the 18 x 20 Sherwood Log Cabin from Shire is as practical as it is eye catching. With an attractive veranda adding extra appeal to the Sherwood, it could be the perfect log cabin for anyone looking for a fantastic spot to relax outdoors. It also possesses valuable year-round usability provided by the generously sized interior.

There are loads of ways to make the most of a Sherwood Log Cabin. The size of the Sherwood combined with its veranda make it one of the most multi-purpose log cabins around. The veranda is the perfect place to relax with a drink or two in the warmer months without the worry of your day being spoiled by any passing showers. If the temperature drops in the evening, you can continue to enjoy the benefits of your garden from inside the Sherwood. By throwing open the double doors and the opening windows, you will have a breezy, cool place to spend your time. Alternatively, keep them closed to give you a nice, snug indoor space. This means you can really make the most of your log cabin whatever the outside conditions are. This strikes an excellent balance between the feeling of being outdoors but without any of the disadvantages of the British weather! A popular choice is to turn the Sherwood into a sitting room that doubles up as a guest house. By adding a sofa that folds out into a bed, you have a great space to relax all year round that can be transformed in an instant to serve as an ideal place for guests to stay, especially if you frequently have visitors who travel long distances. But with a space the size of this, you really are spoilt for choice for how to make the most of your log cabin. Whether you might like a stylish home office or the games room you have always wanted but never had the space for, we are confident you’ll love spending time in the Sherwood however you decide to use it.

Ground Base Info

Here at Timberdise Garden Buildings not only do we specialise in the construction of your new wooden garden building but we also offer very important extras should you need them such as a base for your new building to stand on.

The first thing is not to get confused between the base and the floor. All of the buildings supplied by Timberdise Garden Buildings come with floors regardless of whether you buy a base from us or not. The base is what your new wooden garden building will need if you do not have a suitable surface for it to go on.

Timberdise Garden Buildings will ask you to sign a disclaimer against premature rotting and cracking if we feel you do not have a suitable base and opt not to take out a base with ourselves when we arrive to complete your installation.

What is an unsuitable base?

  • Uneven ground
  • Soft Ground (such as a mud or grass area)

To explain further, if you have a patio area and the patio area is uneven we would deem that unfit to place one of our wooden garden buildings on. Another example would be if you wanted to install the new building on a grassy area or on muddy ground this would also be unfit for one of our wooden garden buildings.

So what does a Timberdise Base do?

  • Timberdise Garden Buildings construct the base out of wooden timbers, typically 4×2 inch pressure treated timbers. We then attach legs to these timbers which are typically 3×3 inch pressure treated timbers which lift the base off the ground and allow us to adjust to make the base level.
  • If the above is constructed onto hard ground such as concrete or patio area then the legs will stand on top of that ground. If it is to be constructed over soft ground such as mud or grass we will use concrete slabs for the legs to stand on.
  • The base makes the building level and also lifts the building above the 2 inch recommended distance from ground level to bottom of your new wooden building. Again this is to prevent premature rotting and give you the longest life possible.

If you have any questions about this please feel free to contact us for more information.

Anti-Rot Guarantee

All of the wooden garden buildings at Timberdise come with an anti-rot guarantee for peace of mind that your new garden building will be around long after we have supplied it. All buildings come with a 10 year anti-rot guarantee apart from the pressure treated range as these come with a 15 year anti-rot guarantee.

Most of the wooden garden buildings we supply come with a pre-coat of treatment that we like to call transportation protection. This protects the buildings from the elements as we deliver them to you and also gives you a small period of time from installation to actually getting the building treated yourself so that the building is not exposed during this crucial stage of its life (this does not include log cabins and garden rooms). Log cabins and garden rooms come without any treatment so make sure you treat these buildings within the first week of them being installed.

We at Timberdise will always advise you to treat your new wooden garden building as soon as you possibly can and ask that you continue to treat the building at least every 12 months there after. This is to ensure you get the maximum life out of the building and prevent against any premature rotting. We also advise you that to keep your guarantee valid you do have to treat both inside and outside of the buildings as most buildings don’t come with any damp protection.

Please have a look at the aftercare details we have available on this site by clicking here Aftercare for Sheds, Summerhouses & Playhouses and Aftercare for Log Cabins for further information.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Money-back Guarantee

If you are not happy with your building for whatever reason you have 14 days from the moment you receive the building to notify us and we will collect for free and action a full refund providing the below is met.
We are able to accept a return of a building trusting it is in its new and unused condition, also it has not been assembled or treated in anyway. Please speak to a member of our team for more information.
