Description

The Command Post from Shire is an ideal playhouse for kids who love playing battle games. The gun ports allow defence of the stronghold with water pistols or foam dart guns, while the windows provide observation points to target the enemy from the safety of the fort. Ensure hours of imaginative play with this playhouse, as children fight mock battles to take control of the Command Post.

The walls of the Shire Command Post Playhouse are constructed using high-quality planed softwood in a sturdy tongue and groove shiplap pattern, making this fort well-sealed from the elements, as well as invaders! The timber used is continental slow-grown wood, meaning a  tighter grain, extra strength and longer life when compared to the fast-grown timber used on cheaper playhouses from other manufacturers. The floor is also built with tongue and groove boards, and the roof is made from Oriented Strand Board (OSB) with roofing felt included.

Kids love rough battle games, but no one likes it when things end in tears. That’s why we’ve incorporated important safety features into this playhouse to protect the children as they play. The three fixed windows are glazed with environmentally-friendly shatter resistant styrene, a safer alternative to glass, and both opening ports, as well as the door, are fitted with safety hinges to prevent trapped fingers. So with no need to worry, now it’s just up to the kids whether the enemy will be held at bay with foam or water, or allowed to retreat to safety!

This Shire playhouse is supplied with a dip-treated base coat as standard, with a top coat available as an option for a stronger and golden brown finish. The Command Post does not come pre-painted, giving you a blank canvas to tailor to the children’s desires. The manufacturer recommends applying a water-based top coat of your choice, preventing the timber from weathering and therefore making the playhouse last longer.

The Shire Command Post Playhouse is supplied flat-packed for ease of handling and assembly. All fittings and felt are included in the price, with clear, easy-to-follow instructions, though you can choose to add assembly if desired.

Upon Delivery

Delivery of this item is typically made by a 7.5 ton flat-bed (similar size to a council refuse lorry). Delivery is typically between 7am and 7pm. The delivery drivers are only insured to deliver to kerb side or driveway. We would not risk damaging your property whilst delivering a product. Unfortunately we will not be able to go through your property. Deliveries may be either hand-balled off by the driver and some may be craned off if the vehicle delivering has a hi-ab. We cannot guarantee which type of vehicle will deliver to you.

Our Installation team will not bring a building through your home as they are not covered by insurance to enter a customer’s home.

Anti-Rot Guarantee

All of the wooden garden buildings at Timberdise come with an anti-rot guarantee for peace of mind that your new garden building will be around long after we have supplied it. All buildings come with a 10 year anti-rot guarantee apart from the pressure treated range as these come with a 15 year anti-rot guarantee.

Most of the wooden garden buildings we supply come with a pre-coat of treatment that we like to call transportation protection. This protects the buildings from the elements as we deliver them to you and also gives you a small period of time from installation to actually getting the building treated yourself so that the building is not exposed during this crucial stage of its life (this does not include log cabins and garden rooms). Log cabins and garden rooms come without any treatment so make sure you treat these buildings within the first week of them being installed.

We at Timberdise will always advise you to treat your new wooden garden building as soon as you possibly can and ask that you continue to treat the building at least every 12 months there after. This is to ensure you get the maximum life span out of the building and prevent any premature rotting. We also advise you that to keep your guarantee valid you do have to treat both inside and outside of the buildings as most buildings don’t come with any damp protection.

Please have a look at the aftercare details we have available on this site by clicking here Aftercare for Sheds, Summerhouses & Playhouses and Aftercare for Log Cabins for further information.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Returns

At Timberdise we offer a 14 day money back guarantee on all of our items. The guarantee commences from the date which you receive your item and we even offer a free collection service as part of this agreement.

The building must be returned in its original, untreated, resalable condition. Until the item is collected by our courier, it’s the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the building remains in this condition.

We will not however dismantle on your behalf and we cannot be held liable for any third party costs. Once the building has been received by our factory and checked, a full refund will be issued within 7 working days providing all of the above conditions are met.
