It’s useful features such as double doors for comfortable access and two matching joinery windows for ventilation during the evening are just some of the characteristics of this summerhouse. The windows are properly morticed and tenoned as well as being profiled, and weather resistant. The window has a unique profiled ‘lip’ that covers the aperture of the opening in the panel making it weather resistant. Casement stays have 2 levels of opening. The glazing is 3mm horticultural glass. All glazing is retained by profiled beading which is pre-mitred (no awkward corners to be cut). There is no extra cost for our opening windows.
Where timber is grown is important, timber used on this summerhouse is distinguished from fast grown timber as it is a continental slow grown timber. Slower grown timber means tighter grain, extra strength and longer life. Tongue and groove construction means the building is better sealed from the elements.

Treatment: All Shire garden buildings are supplied pre-treated with a base coat to both sides in a golden brown water based industrial product (colour can vary from some of the images which show the golden brown finish). The Manufacturer advises that you must treat the summerhouse with a second coat wood preservative of your choice. This will protect the timber from weathering on your summerhouse making it last longer and will need to be repeated accordingly in relation to the manufacturer’s instructions for the treatment used.
Supplied flat packed for ease of handling and assembly. All fittings and felt are included in the price with clear easy to follow instructions.
